Hi, my name is Pedra and I’m a beautiful 14-year-old girl. I was brought to the National Animal Welfare Trust in December when my owner sadly passed away.
When I arrived at the NAWT I was quite shy and spent most of my day hiding in bed, but since then I’ve grown in confidence and let my sweet, affectionate personality shine through.
I love to be stroked - chin scratches are my favourite - and I like sitting by the window sunbathing and watching the world go by.
As I can be nervous in new situations I’ll need a gentle, experienced cat owner who won’t expect too much from me too soon. I don’t like being picked up but do love some gentle fuss.
The 14-year-old cat will need a quiet home and will need to be the only pet
I’m looking for a quiet home with adults or families with children aged 16 and over and I’ll need to be the only pet in the home. Once I’ve settled in, I’d like access to the outdoors so that I can sunbathe.
Like many otherwise healthy cats, I have a minor heart murmur but please don’t let that put you off. Many cats with a murmur never develop any problems with their heart and go on to lead long, happy and healthy lives.
Pedra has a minor heart murmur and is on s special diet for cystitis
I have reoccurring cystitis so am on a special diet, which our vet will be happy to discuss.
