Watford are back in the Premier League. Nine months after they were relegated, the Hornets have bounced back at the first time of asking thanks to their 1-0 victory over Millwall.

Six years ago today the Hornets were also celebrating a return to the big time after a longer absence following a never-to-be-forgotten day at Brighton & Hove Albion that continued long into the evening as fans spilled out onto the streets while others made their way back from the south coast.

Within a few hours of Watford clinching promotion to the Premier League on April 25, 2015 there were several videos and pictures of the Hornets celebrating. We rounded up the best of them and here they are again for you to enjoy.

Watford started the day knowing they had to win against Brighton and hoped Middlesbrough and Norwich City would drop points.

There was party atmosphere even before the Golden Boys kicked off at Brighton...

The Hornets then did their bit in the automatic promotion race by defeating the Seagulls 2-0.

It wasn't a vintage Watford performance and there were certainly several nervy moments but Troy Deeney fired the Hornets in front before Matej Vydra sealed the victory late on.

It was job done at the AmEx. Watford’s players travelled back to their London Colney training ground and watched as the Championship’s 3pm kick offs unfolded.

Norwich ended up drawing at Rotherham United while Fulham struck a stoppage time winner against Middlesbrough.

Watford’s players discovered they had been promoted on the team coach...although it appears Odion Ighalo started celebrating earlier than his teammates.
