Knives can be dropped off at Watford police station this week without repercussion.

Hertfordshire Police is holding a knife amnesty beginning today (Monday, April 26).

Those with a knife or sharp weapon have until Sunday, May 2, to surrender their weapons anonymously at various locations around the county.

There will be bins located Watford police station and at Hatfield and Stevenage police stations throughout the amnesty.

A knife amnesty is a police driven initiative to get knives and other sharp weapons off our streets.

During a knife amnesty, people can hand in their knives at designated locations without any repercussions.

There are also two permanent knife bins located in Waltham Cross at Theobald’s Grove Train Station and on Monarchs Way.
