The town, villages, and wards in the Watford area which have seen the most and fewest number of Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began have been revealed.

The data shows broadly, Watford has recorded more than 7,500 cases, followed by just over 6,000 across Three Rivers district, and a little over 2,100 in Bushey and Bushey Heath.

Most recent figures, published last week by Public Health England, also shows the picture in every single neighbourhood in our area between April 2020 and April 2021.

The data is broken down by individual neighbourhoods, that are officially known as Middle Super Output Area (MSOA) areas, with an average population of 7,200 - although some MSOA's are slightly larger or smaller.

Analysis has found that in Watford, the total number of cases in each neighbourhood so far averages around 625.

Out of the 12 neighbourhoods in Watford, all have seen more than 400 confirmed cases since the pandemic began except in Tudor ward (399 cases).

The figures show that Holywell has been the hardest-hit by the pandemic in Watford with 943 cases reported so far.

This is followed by West Watford with 894, and Central Watford with 875.

In Three Rivers, the area with the most recorded cases is South Oxhey with 695 followed by Leavesden with 659.

Rickmansworth is divided into two neighbourhoods - added together, there have been more than 1,000 cases recorded since the pandemic began.

The tables below show the number of cases recorded in your neighbourhood.

It is worth remembering many cases or infections will have gone undetected - either due to a lack of testing during the first peak or because people did not show any symptoms or never took a Covid test when showing symptoms.

A lot of the cases above will have been picked up over December and January when some case rates locally peaked at just over 1,000 cases per 100,000 population.

Current rates are much lower - in the seven days to April 22, Watford sits at 24.9 (24 cases), Three Rivers at 33.2 (31 cases) and Hertsmere at 14.3 (15 cases)
