Two men arrested after a clash on an estate have been released and will face no further action.

Several police cars were spotted around The Gossamers after police were called to a dispute on the Meriden estate yesterday afternoon.

It was reported that three men were involved and that one of the involved parties alleged he had a knife.

Following enquiries, two people were arrested at the scene.

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 3.30pm yesterday (Wednesday April 28) to reports of an altercation involving a group of people in The Gossamers, Watford.

"It was reported that three men had been involved in a physical altercation, and that one of the involved parties alleged that he had a knife, though no weapon was found.

"No one sustained any injuries.

"It was also alleged that a brick had been thrown at the window of a property.

"Two people were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault, criminal damage, possession of class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon. They have since been released with no further action due to insufficient evidence."

An air ambulance that landed in Meriden Park yesterday afternoon was not connected to the police incident on The Gossamers.
