Road closures in the area of Watford Junction station are set to cause disruption to motorists overnight next week.

A notice from Hertfordshire County Council in this week’s edition of the Watford Observer confirms an order has been approved for the temporary closure of part of Station Road, all of Bridle Path and a section of Westland Road.

The eastbound carriageway of Station Road, from its junction with St Albans Road south-eastwards for a distance of approximately 158 metres, will be shut from Tuesday night according to the one.network website.

The closure is set to be in place from 8pm until 5am and is expected to last until Thursday.

The full length of Bridle Path is also due to be closed for the same duration.

The diversion during the closures will be via St Albans Road, St Johns Road, Woodford Road and Station Road.

The order also includes Westland Road, from its junction with Station Road south-westwards and south-eastwards to its junction with St Johns Road, but one.network does not yet state when these works are due to take place.

A section of Mildred Avenue is also set to be closed to vehicles next week for roadworks.

The road will be shut from its junction with Park Avenue south-westwards for a distance of approximately 50m from Monday to Thursday.

The alternative route will be via Park Avenue, Whippendell Road, Harwoods Road and Mildred Avenue.

An order has also been approved for the temporary closure of Maple Close, Bushey, for roadworks.

One.network states this will be in place from Monday until Sunday, May 30, between 7.30am and 6pm.
