A man arrested in connection with a stabbing in Watford town centre has been released on bail.

Hertfordshire Constabulary has issued an update over the stabbing, which saw emergency services flood Market Street on Tuesday evening.

Police received reports that a man had suffered stab wounds just before 9.30pm.

Pictures taken from a property in Market Street at 9.45pm show three police cars at the scene along with an ambulance.

The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries were not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

A 35-year-old man from Stevenage who was arrested in connection with the incident has now been released on bail with conditions, police said this afternoon.

Detectives are still investigating, and anyone with information is asked to report it.
