With more indoor venues reopening in Watford, here are just five options which should keep everyone entertained and away from the miserable weather this weekend.

1. Everyone Active Watford Leisure centres

If you fancy something sporty this weekend then Everyone Active could be the place to go. There are three leisure centres in the Watford area, one in central, South Oxhey and Woodside. 

The central leisure centre is next to Watford Town Hall and has a large swimming and offers plenty of courses from climbing, gymnastics, tennis, diving, to group workout classes such as dance fitness, circuits, H I I T, legs bums and tums.

2. Watford Museum

If you are looking for something educational then why not head to Watford Museum which houses displays of local history, industry and archeology in what were the former offices of Benskins Brewery. 

The displays include Watford at War, Print and Brewing, Watford football club and some Elton John memorabilia.

3. Watford Palace Theatre

Watford Palace Theatre has been a heart of the town’s community since 1908 and is reopening its doors on Saturday and has some exciting productions lined up for those craving a bit of culture.

On Saturday at 8pm is a screening of Kinky Boots: The Musical, tickets cost £16.  

On Wednesday May 26 there is a screening of Matthew Bourne’s production of Romeo & Juliet.

4. Vue Cinema Watford

Vue Cinema is in Woodside Leisure Park and has a number of screenings this weekend, whether you fancy some old classics like Gladiator or Grease, something for the children like Peter Rabbit 2, or the new drama/thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead starring Angelina Jolie, there is something for everyone.

5. Escape Hunt Watford

Escape rooms offer real-life adventures and Escape Hunt in Watford has a wild-west themed escape room which is available to groups of 2-3 players and 4-6 players with prices ranging between £18 - £28 per person.
