A man was rescued from a bungalow fire yesterday afternoon.
The emergency services responded to a fire at a property in Clarkfield in Mill End at around 4.30pm (Sunday June 6).
Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue sent six fire crews to the scene and found one bunglalow well alight when they arrived.
Firefighters rescued one man from the bungalow and he was later taken to hospital by the East of England Ambulance Service.
Firefighters put out the fire by 5.30pm but crews stayed on scene until around 7.30pm making sure the scene was safe.
Crews from Rickmansworth, Watford, Garston, Kings Langley, and Borehamwood attended, along with a command support unit.

A photo taken from a nearby home shows smoke coming from the direction of a bungalow, with fire engines and hoses blocking the residential street along with an ambulance.
The fire service says that the roof of a neighbouring property was damaged as well in the fire.
An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place today, a spokesperson for the fire service added.

During the incident, members of the public were warned to stay away from the area.
At 5.30pm, Three Rivers Police posted on its Twitter account: "We are currently working with the Fire and Rescue Service to deal with a fire at a property in Clarkfield, #Rickmansworth.
"The road is expected to remain closed for a significant amount of time. Please avoid the area where possible. Thank you."
