A young child had to be checked by paramedics after glass was shattered onto them in an apparent road rage incident.
Two men are under investigation by police following the incident which occurred in Chequers Lane, Abbots Langley, at around 12.50pm on Friday, June 11.
Footage of the incident uploaded to Facebook shows what appears to be an argument breaking out between a man and the occupants of a BMW before the car’s rear windscreen was smashed with a shovel.
Glass was then shattered onto a young child who was in the back seat, Hertfordshire Constabulary said.
The child was checked by the ambulance service and was not injured.
A man was also allegedly assaulted during the incident, sustaining an injury to his hand.
Police believe several people witnessed the incident and officers are keen to speak to them as part of their enquiries.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
