Former rugby stars Mike Tindall and Iain Balshaw will be among those taking part in a cycling challenge to help a local charity fund the cure for Parkinson’s.
Cure Parkinson’s, a charity founded in Rickmansworth and Croxley, is encouraging as many participants as possible to get on their bikes on Sunday (June 27) to raise funds for the charity and its research.
Riders can choose their own route, their own distance and take to their bikes to help make a difference as part of this cycle challenge.
Tindall is a patron for the local charity, while Balshaw is an ambassador – and they will join CEO Will Cook from Chorleywood in the journey.
The Drops Le Col women’s cycling team and several people living with Parkinson’s will also take part in the fundraiser.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, other people wishing to participate should take part in any location of their choice.
Riders can take part or join the virtual version on the online cycling app, Zwift, where Tindall and several members of the Drops Le Col Women’s cycling team will be found.
