Watford’s MP ‘unbelievably’ tackled a brand-new adventure course that has officially opened in Watford.

Dean Russell attended the opening of the Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park in Woodside Leisure Park on Thursday and agreed to try and overcome the famous warped wall after encouragement from Chris Kamara.

The former footballer turned legendary pundit, who hosted the opening of the course, jokingly told Mr Russell that “the only reason I have come is to see you attempt to the wall”.

He then cheered on Mr Russell to take on the challenge before the MP agreed, who then took of his jacket and tie in preparation.

The MP then took his run up and just about made it to the top with some help from other staff already at the top.

Following this, Kamara used his famous catchphrase ‘unbelievable’ to describe Mr Russell’s achievement.

Watford Mayor Peter Taylor was also at the adventure course and said: "It was great to join Chris Kamara and the brilliant Ninja Warrior team at the launch of their new centre in Woodside.

"Really glad that I managed to beat the wall (eventually)!"

The 23,000ft squared indoor facility, inside the former Gambado play area, includes obstacles to climb, balance, jump and swing across, as well the famous Warped Wall, and is open to all age groups.

People can also  tackle the additional inflatable course complete with big red bouncy balls, tunnels, battle zone and the ultimate airbag leap to race through.

And if all that’s too much, the Ninja Café is a great place to watch and refuel.
