Watford's MP paid a visit to ASOS' offices in Leavesden on Friday.

Dean Russell was invited down for a tour of the online fashion retailer's customer care centre and new studios facility.

The politician was welcomed by the director of customer care, head of customer operations and director of studios, and also spoke with staff to learn how the company operates on a daily basis.

The offices in Leavesden are home to more than 330 employees with Mr Russell describing ASOS as a "key employer in the area".

Following his visit, Mr Russell said: "I was very impressed with how the organisation has embraced massive change throughout the pandemic, with staff working at home during lockdown but now moving to a mix of office and home working in line with government guidance.

"This shift has allowed the company to carry on operating efficiently and effectively, while looking after its people. I am delighted that they have such a fantastic facility in the constituency."

He added: "I would like to thank the team in Leavesden for showing me around. It was a very slick operation, and it was good to see a happy workforce, looking after their significant global customer base.

"It was great to see the new Studios facility in action and to hear about future plans to grow the team by recruiting locally where possible."
