You kindly covered the unveiling of the ‘Thank You to the NHS Plaque’ in the Peace Garden in Cassiobury Park in last Friday’s edition of your paper. Thank you for that.
As I write, I would also extend my special thanks to Jeff Bateman and the other volunteers who facilitated the planting of the fig tree by which the plaque is placed.
It is a huge relief for my mother and I to know that the memory of my late father will live on because the fig tree will be cared for by Jeff and his team
Finally, I would like it made clear that the plaque was in fact unveiled by an eminent personality - Vice Admiral Allan D Richards, Deputy Lieutenant for Hertfordshire - who as your readers will know attends events as the Queen’s representative.
This key fact and details were missed from the article (and on the website).
