There are delays at Watford Junction after a “trespasser” on the track at London Euston.

Emergency services have been called to London Euston station this morning, meaning all lines from the station are blocked and it is causing disruptions on the London Northwestern Railway and the Overground.

During the original report details were not clear as Network Rail had just said a "tresspasser" was on the track and a member of staff was injured.

Now British Transport Police has issued an update, explaining this was a serious assault.

Trains at London Euston may be cancelled or will face delays up to 60 minutes, with disruption expected until 9.15am.

Both the Overground and London Northwestern are affected by the delays between London Euston and Watford Junction, as trains are currently unable to run between Euston and Kilburn High Road.

The British Transport Police have been contacted for further details about the incident.

Commuters are advised to check the journey planner this morning.

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today.
