A man was arrested and charged after he entered the reception area of Watford General Hospital with a knife.
Police were called at around 7.30pm on Saturday July 17 following the incident at the hospital.
A Herts Police spokeswoman said: "It was reported that a man had entered the reception area in possession of a knife, which he handed over to staff.
"Officers attended and a man was arrested.
"No one was injured during the incident."
Daniel Hickey, aged 34, from Pollards in Maple Cross, has been charged with having possession of a bladed article in a public place and has been bailed to appear at magistrates' court on August 2.
