A picture has captured the horrific sight residents had to endure when a bag of "human poo" was dumped outside a block of flats in Watford.
The bag of faeces, claimed to be human waste by local residents, was left by the bins outside the flats in The Gateway on Wednesday, July 21.
The Pinnacle Group, the housing association for the flats, was only able to recover the bag a day after it was dumped (Thursday).
A spokesperson from the group said the area was also cleaned and disinfected.
They said: “Pinnacle Group aims to respond to all incidents on Pinnacle-managed properties within 24-hours.
“On this occasion, a resourcing issue meant that the incident took slightly longer to be dealt with.
"Just over 24 hours after the incident was reported, the Pinnacle team cleared the area, ensuring it was cleaned and disinfected to guarantee the safety of all residents.
“Pinnacle Group takes extremely seriously the safety and hygiene of its sites and continues to provide the best possible service to residents.”
