Firefighters have rescued a dog from an address in Watford which was at risk of catching fire.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue says it was called to Hatfield Road after receiving a report of smoke coming from a property in the road.
Crews from Watford and Garston fire stations rushed to the scene and forced their way inside the property where they found smouldering objects on the hob.

A dog was also found and rescued, the fire service said in a tweet this afternoon.
It added that the dog was not injured from the incident.
The property was also ventilated by firefighters.
