Police in Three Rivers have been clamping down on bikers riding anti-socially in the district.

Officers in the area have recently been receiving reports over riders and have taken to Facebook to share two incidents that recently happened.

In one case, police from Oxhey SNT received reports last week of a bike driving in an anti-social manner.

Officers spotted the bike on August 2 but it drove away before officers could stop it.

“Fortunately team D were down the road and found the rider parked up,” a Facebook post read.

Police also say the rider was not insured and that the bike was seized and a ticket was issued.

A warning was also issued under section 59 of the Police Reform Act.

In another incident, police in Three Rivers received reports last weekend of bikes driving in an anti-social manner and on private land.

Officers from the Rickmansworth and Abbots Langley Safer Neighbourhood teams then worked with a land owner to track down unauthorised bike users who had trespassed on the landowners property.

“The owner of the bike has been given words of advice about riding on private land and has also been issued with a Warning Notice under section 59 (4) of the Police Reform Act 2002,” a Facebook post published on Tuesday said.
