Two construction workers took time out of their day to step in and help a woman after spotting she had a flat tyre.

The selfless deed was captured at Watford General Hospital on Wednesday morning.

According to a member of Watford Observer Camera Club, a woman was driving away from the hospital when two men working in the area noticed that the Fiat 500 she was in had a flat tyre.

They alerted the driver before even going to the trouble of changing the tyre for her as well.

The Good Samaritans were pictured taking the damaged wheel off and replacing it with the spare.

Camera clubber Neil Green wrote in the Facebook group: "Not really camera club standard, but, kudos to the 2 gentlemen helping out one of the hospital staff by stopping her to let her know about the flat and then kindly changing the wheel too. Fair play gents."

It’s believed the men are currently working on the project to construct new homes near Watford General Hospital.

Around 1,000 homes are being built as part of the Watford Riverwell development, along with a retirement village and retail. There are also plans for a primary school.

Construction of a multi-storey car park is also underway. This can be used by residents of the Riverwell development, but is primarily for staff and visitors to Watford General Hospital

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust say the car park will benefit visitors to Watford General because it will be closer to the hospital itself and remove the steep walk to and from the current car park.

The hospital trust has even bigger plans to rebuild Watford General Hospital and is seeking Government funding to make the project a reality.
