Three gold rings with “great sentimental value” have been stolen.

Police are currently searching for the gold rings that went missing in Watford between August 2 and August 3, however Hertfordshire Constabulary say the circumstances around their disappearance is not clear at this time.

The rings that are reported as stolen are described as:

• An 18ct gold engagement ring with five large diamonds

• An 18ct solid gold wedding band, with ‘STU’ engraved on the inside

• An 18ct gold eternity ring, with diamonds half way round it.

PC Robert Wilson, who is investigating, said: “These rings are of great sentimental value and I am keen to locate them for the victim and her family.

“We’re still working to establish the circumstances around the rings going missing, but are keen to hear from anyone who thinks they may have come across them. Have you seen anyone wearing similar items recently, or seen them being advertised for sale? If so, please get in touch.”
