- The M25 was closed for hours due to a fire involving a waste lorry.

- There have been major delays after the carriageway was shut clockwise between junction 16 for the M40 and junction 17 for Maple Cross and Rickmansworth.

- Buckinghamshire Fire has confirmed at least five fire crews attended with an emergency call coming in around 1.30pm.

- Due to the nature of what the lorry was carrying - recycled waste - it took some time to extinguish the fire and make the scene safe.

- The motorway eventually reopened at around 8.15pm but as of 9pm, two lanes of four remain closed where the lorry caught fire.
