The new location of Watford's driving theory test centre has been revealed ahead of a move early next month.

The current site in Cassiobury House, Station Road in Watford will be closing on September 3 and will be moving be reopening in the Orient Centre, Greycaine Road, on September 6.

It comes after Watford Council agreed proposals to replace Cassiobury House with a 168-bed hotel and new offices.

Applicants Tellon Capital received permission for a 13-storey hotel, along with an eight-storey office building on the site of the current five-storey Cassiobury House.

The proposals were agreed by the council back in January but official Government papers have only now revealed the exact dates and location for the relocation for the test centre.

The new home of The Orient Centre is situated on the Greycaine Industrial Estate off Bushey Mill Lane, near Watford North station.

It has also been confirmed that Watford County Court & Family Court will be relocating from Cassiobury House to King Street in Watford town centre.
