A consultation has launched for a five-year action plan to improve Rickmansworth Aquadrome.
The public is asked to share their thoughts on areas of improvement for the 41 acre park in Rickmansworth, as Three Rivers District Council hopes to enhance the wildlife in the area and make the area a better visitor experience.
Possible areas of improvement that the Greenspace Action Plan could focus on includes better education of the wildlife there, making the park accessible, improved signage and more benches.
Other key priorities for the Aquadrome include promoting biodiversity, managing flooding, enhancing the overall identity of the site, maintaining a strong relationship with the park community and making better use of the area around the café.
Once the plan is drawn up and agreed, external funding will be sought to enable the plan to be delivered.
Cllr Sarah Nelmes, the Leader of Three Rivers District Council, explained: “The Aquadrome is one of the crowning glories of Three Rivers, treasured by residents and visitors alike.
“In recent years we have made some improvements, such as the new cafe building and toilet block, new boat house and improved pathways.
“But we want to take a fresh look at the park as a whole, working closely with the park community, to make sure it functions as well as it can for both visitors and wildlife.”
Comments for the consultation can be sent in until October 3, to share your thoughts visit: https://www.threerivers.gov.uk/egcl-page/consultations
