A residential street has been closed after a hole was discovered.
The emergency closure has been put in place in Goodwood Avenue in Watford by Hertfordshire County Council.
The council says the road has been shut as a safety precaution.
A spokesperson said: "The road has been closed as a safety precaution due to a small hole being discovered under the road following the removal of a BT telecommunications pole.
"Investigation and repair works will take place in the coming days and we will look to reopen the road as soon as it is safe to do so."
