Three men were arrested after two cannabis factories were found.
Warrants were executed at two cannabis factories in Herstmere – one in Homefield Road, Bushey, and one in Micklefield Way, Borehamwood – on Monday (October 18) after large heat sources were spotted at the properties.
Inside the Bushey property, 150 suspected cannabis plants at various stages of growth were recovered and two men, aged 23 and 26, were arrested.
Officers also recovered more than 110 suspected cannabis plants at the Borehamwood property and a man, 46, was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis.
Neighbourhood Inspector Rachael Robertson said: “This discovery resulted in a substantial quantity of drugs being removed from circulation.
“Whatever your views on cannabis, the fact is that it remains an illegal drug and we will continue to take action against those suspected of growing and supplying it. It is a fact that drugs of all kinds are can be the catalyst for exploitation of young people and violent crime and we will do all we can to prevent this from happening.
“If you suspect criminality in your neighbourhood, please report it so that we can build up the necessary intelligence we need to take action.”
