A man was attacked by a mob of motorcyclists and robbed of his Rolex watch.

Colin Levene, aged 63, was attacked when he exited Radlett Station while he was returning home from work last Wednesday (October 27) at 5.15pm.

The victim believes that he was “targeted” by a group of three motorcyclists who were spotted in the area at the station before following Mr Levene to the car park.

At the time he was wearing a notably valuable Rolex watch, and the motorbikes “roared into the car park” before the motorcyclists “demanded the watch”.

Mr Levene said: “They came to the front station first looking for me, then they came to the car park looking specifically for me.”

From there, the three motorcyclists “repeatedly punched” him.

According to the victim, he was unconscious for about 30 seconds and after getting up he realised that his watch was stolen – however other valuable items such as his phone and wallet were left behind.

He continued: “I felt it’s typical of the area – there have been a number of attacks in the area that I have heard of, but I just didn’t think it would be in broad daylight, you don’t think about that, I was more thinking about my fish and chips that I ordered five minutes before!”

At the time he was concerned about the potential injuries – adding that it could have been a brain injury. In the end he ended up with a fracture around the eye and severely bruised face.

He contacted police himself to let them know of the situation.

British Transport Police has confirmed that officers were called to a robbery at the station.

A spokesperson said: “The victim was assaulted and had his watch stolen by three men on motorbikes.

“He was taken to hospital and discharged in the early hours of this morning.

“Enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing and any witnesses who haven’t already spoken to police are asked to text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 - quoting reference 385 of 28/10/21.”
