Hi, I’m Nutmeg and this is my good friend Basil. We’re a pair of friendly, one-year-old boys looking for a new outdoor home together. We came to the National Animal Welfare Trust in December when our owner couldn’t look after us anymore.

We’re a very confident and affectionate pair; we like to run up and greet whoever walks past our pen with our twitchy little noses. We both love attention: whether this means cuddles, strokes or grooming, it’s all good in our books!

We also enjoy our food, especially veggies, and playing with toys. We really do love each other and are never far apart, you can often find us cuddled up somewhere warm and quiet together.

Nutmeg and Basil are often cuddled up together

You may have noticed by my fantastic mane that I’m a Lionhead rabbit so I’ll need regular grooming to keep me looking this handsome! We’ve always lived outdoors so we are looking for a home where we can share a large hutch with access to a decent-sized run for regular exercise.

Like all rabbits, we need to chew because our teeth grow constantly so hay is a must. If you stuff empty kitchen and toilet roll tubes with it, you’ll not only be keeping us healthy but giving us lots of fun too as we tug it out.

If you can offer us a good home together with lots of love and attention, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) so we can arrange to meet.
