Hi, I’m Flora, a five-year-old ex-racing greyhound looking for my forever home. I came to the National Animal Welfare Trust in January with my fellow former racers Bing and Clover.

I’m a shy girl who’s still getting used to being here. The staff are helping me settle in and teaching me the world is not a scary place.

I don’t show much interest in toys but, hopefully, once I’m more settled I’ll learn that playing is fun. I enjoy my treats but tend to eat them when I’m alone.

Watford Observer:

My ideal home would be with a patient owner who’s around a lot to help me settle in.

And this is my friend Bing who’s three. He’s a lovely, laidback boy who walks nicely on the lead and likes spending time with people, playing with his toys and getting all the fuss he can.

Watford Observer:

He’d like a home with a family with patient older children who’ll understand home life is very new to him.

Last but not least, Clover is only two-years-old. She’s hoping her name means she’ll be lucky and find a home in no time at all.

She’s a friendly girl who can be shy at first but will soon warm up to you after a neck rub and some treats. She loves her soft, cuddly or squeaky toys and throws them in the air to catch them.

Watford Observer:

If it’s not too much to ask, all of us would love a good-sized garden to investigate.

If you could offer one of us a loving home, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2).
