A 11-year-old girl led the campaign to introduce a brand-new dog waste bin.
Daisy Edwards, who is head girl at Russell School in Chorleywood, launched the campaign last summer when her grandfather joined her to litter pick along Green Street.
The pair covered a 200 metre stretch of hedgerow and was disgusted to find 30 bags of dog mess.
Miss Edwards realised there were no dog waste bins in the area and took the initiative to write to Cllr Phil Williams, the lead member for environment at Three Rivers District Council, to ask for a bin to be installed.
It has now been placed at Green Street just past the junction with Orchard Drive.
Cllr Williams called Miss Edwards “a great example to us all".
