Children have shown their gratitude to their teachers by drawing pictures of them to celebrate a pre-school's 'outstanding' Ofsted inspection.

In December, Knutsford Community Pre-School in North Watford received the bets possible rating for the fourth time in a row.

Inspectors, who visited the school in November, were impressed by the quality of education, behaviour, and management, with children learning from an "exciting" curriculum of "extremely high quality" teaching.

When the children returned to school in January, they created pictures of each member of staff which have been displayed at the pre-school.

Commenting on the inspection report on behalf of the staffing team at Knutsford Community Pre-School, manager Lizzie Bushell said: "We have been operating for many years in our community, since 1974, and we are absolutely delighted to have now received ‘Outstanding’ for the fourth time running.

"This is an enormous achievement and particularly as all early years settings are now working to a new curriculum and inspection regime. It is a great reward for all the hard work the team have put in and the relationships we have built with our families who are always very supportive."

Ms Bushell added: "The inspectors were very impressed with our fantastic children who, of course, were the stars of the show on inspection day.

"It has been such a difficult time for the children and their families during the pandemic and it is testament to the team work between staff and parents that the children are so happy and confident and progressing so well."
