Tesco is working to rectify a stench at one of its stores after a shopper compared it to "human excrement".
The Tesco Extra branch at Lower High Street, Watford, has received reports of a smell, which a spokesperson said is coming from the drainage system.
A shopper described it as "the stench of human excrement" and said it made her "heave the whole way around" during her visit on Friday (February 4).
She added that the cashier was also complaining about the smell.

However there is work going on to resolve the issue, according to a Tesco spokesperson.
“We’re sorry that there is an unpleasant smell at our Watford Extra store from the drainage system," they told the Watford Observer today (Tuesday).
"Our maintenance team have been working overnight to rectify this as soon as possible and we hope to have it fixed in the next 48 hours.”
