Hello, I’m Desmond! I’m a nine-month-old Saluki boy and I’m looking for a new family to play with. I was brought to the National Animal Welfare Trust a couple of weeks ago as a stray.
The staff here describe me as a “beautiful, bouncy boy”. I have a lot of love to give and could really benefit from someone who has time to give me further training and show me how nice it is to keep four paws on the floor.
I find everything exciting and am always raring to go. Being a playful pup, I find squeaky toys are lots of fun and I’m very focused on getting praise and fuss from humans.
I love to be with people and have your attention. As I’m still learning, when I find my forever home, I might need reminding where to find the garden until I’ve totally got the hang of this toilet training thing.
I’m looking for a kind family with bigger children who wouldn’t be too overwhelmed by my bounciness when playing and I’d like access to a nice garden for me to explore.
Being a young lad, I need someone who’s home most the day to continue my training with me and to work on leaving me alone gradually. It’s best I’m the only pet in the home until I’m more settled.
If you could give me a good home, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) to arrange for us to meet.
