A woman has pleaded guilty to drink driving and assaulting a police officer.

Michelle Linehan, 54, of Raphael Drive, Watford, was stopped by police on October 14 last year in Ainslie Road in South Oxhey.

St Albans Magistrates Court heard she had 62 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, which exceeded the prescribed limit.

Linehan was also in court for assaulting on an emergency worker - a male police constable - which occurred on the same day.

She pleaded guilty to driving and assaulting a police officer at court on November 11.

She appeared in court again on February 10, where Linehan was disqualified from driving for 42 months.

For the assault on the officer, she was given a community order and ordered to pay £100 in compensation, a £95 victim surcharge fee, and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
