Hello there, I’m Smudge, a sweet but nervous 12-year-old boy who came to the National Animal Welfare Trust three weeks ago when my owner moved home. I hadn’t had much interaction with humans so I’m quite shy at the moment, but once I’ve settled in a home I may enjoy a fuss on my own terms.

The centre is a little overwhelming for me so I stay in my hidey bed or basket quite a lot. I’d prefer to be the only pet in the home so I can settle in in my own time and have plenty of space.

Hi, my name is Spot and I’m a scared 12-year-old boy. Before coming to the NAWT I lived outside with other cats but had minimal human contact. Because of this I’m quite timid and need a lot of time to settle into a new place.

At the moment I’m not comfortable being handled because I’m not used to it so I need someone who understands I’ll need time and space to settle. I’m quite overwhelmed at the centre so spend most the day in my hidey bed or carrier and prefer to eat when nobody’s around.

We’d each prefer to be the only pet in the home so we can settle in at our own pace.

We’re both looking for adult-only homes on a quiet road with experienced owners who understand that we’ll need time and space to settle in. Once settled, we’d enjoy a nice garden to explore.

If you can offer Spot or Smudge their forever homes, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2).
