Steam train enthusiasts have the chance to see the Flying Scotsman locomotive with it scheduled to pass through Watford later today (February 17).
The famous train has already been spotted making its way down the country today with it set to reach Watford from around 5pm.
The iconic locomotive departed Castleton Hopwood in north west England just after 9am and is scheduled to terminate in Southall in west London just after 7pm, according to Real Time Trains.
Railway news outlet Rail Advent says it is making its way down the country ahead of tours in the south.
The train spotted earlier today
It is due to pass through dozens of stations including those locally on the London Northwestern railway line.
The Flying Scotsman is first due to arrive in Hertfordshire at 4.47pm when it passes through Tring, before going onto Berkhamsted, and arriving into Hemel Hempstead at 4.55pm.
Apsley and Kings Langley are next on the line with it set to reach Watford Junction at 5.02pm and Bushey station a minute later.
All of these times can be subject to change.
The Flying Scotsman is a steam locomotive built in 1923 and described as the "world's most famous steam locomotive".
The locomotive is currently owned by the National Railway Museum and it was retired from regular service in 1963.
However it has been preserved under several owners including Alan Pegler, William McAlpine, and Tony Marchington.
