The demolition of a former bus garage looks to have been completed ahead of the site's redevelopment.

All of the buildings, including the depot and a locally listed office, have been torn down on Arriva's former site in St Albans Road in Garston.

Developer Fairview New Homes secured permission from Watford Borough Council in September for a scheme of 127 homes.

Five separate blocks of up to five floors will be constructed after Fairview's initial plans for 165 homes were rejected.

Locally listed Marchwood House, which councillors on the planning committee recognised as a "landmark" building has gone along with the garage and all of its associated buildings.

The bus garage site had been derelict since it closed in 2018, having first opened in the 1950s, following the closure of Leavesden Road garage.
