Police have issued an update after reports that a man was seriously injured after falling from a building in Watford.

Emergency services were called to concerns for a man's welfare in King Georges Avenue at 6.07pm on Saturday, February 19, after which he was rushed to hospital.

Herts Police have today (Monday) confirmed he currently remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Investigations are ongoing to establish what happened, a spokesperson added, but it is not being treated as a criminal investigation.

Photos taken from the scene showed a large emergency presence, with six police vehicles thought to have attended along with two ambulances initially.

The area was cordoned off until around 10pm that night.
