Can you help pay for the cost of some eye medication for a poor dog who has been through so much?

Regular readers of the Watford Observer may recall the story of Penny, the sweet Patterdale Terrier who’s suffered a hard life. She came to the National Animal Welfare Trust after suffering years of neglect.

The Watford pet rescue centre is now appealing for kind-hearted people to pay for the cost of the eye-drops she’ll need twice a day for the rest of her life – a cost to the charity of £50 per month.

Watford Observer:

Penny came to the NAWT in terrible condition and needed a lot of medical care to help her on the road to recovery. She has been very patient with all the treatment to get her well but it has been a long and tiring journey, during which her carers have learned a lot about her.

Penny is a sweet soul with plenty of energy, who loves food, sniffy walks and curling up on a very comfy bed. She can be wary of new people but does love a little fuss and attention on her own terms once she gets to know you.

Watford Observer:

What Penny needs most of all is to be the only pet in a loving home so she can enjoy the care and attention she deserves. But until she finds her forever home, the NAWT needs help to pay for her ongoing eye treatment.
