The company that operates leading jewellery brands H.Samuel and Ernest Jones has signed a deal to move into Croxley Park.

Signet Jewelers Group of Companies has signed lease terms to take 20,000 sq ft of space at the business park, taking on the third floor of a new building known as Building 1.

Signet Jewelers, which operates 349 stores across the UK and Ireland and describes itself as the world's largest retailer of diamond jewellery, will move its UK headquarters across Hertfordshire from its current home in Borehamwood later this year.

Commenting on the move, Watford mayor Peter Taylor said: "I am delighted to welcome Signet Jewelers to Croxley Park and to Watford’s thriving business community.

"Croxley Park goes from strength to strength, offering an outstanding location for business that blends top quality accommodation, great facilities for staff and a strong environmental ethos."

In July 2019, Watford Borough Council, which owns next door Watford Business Park, took on a 40 year lease of Croxley Park with the option of buying the business park when the lease expires.

The deal with Signet Jewelers is the first of the four floors at Building 1 to have been leased.

Paul Smith, director at letting agent Bray Park Smith, said: "This is a vote of confidence in the enduring appeal of Grade A business parks as hubs for productive post-pandemic workforces. Building 1 offers so much more than just access to a desk.

"It is perfectly suited to the needs of a workforce keen to enjoy ease of commuting and a sense of community in beautiful landscaped surroundings.

"The appeal of Croxley Park is high, and Building 1 is expected to match the success of its sister building which was fully leased just nine months after completion."
