The driver suspected to be behind a hit-and-run that injured an 11-year-old boy has been found.
Police searched for the driver of a 2002-2005 blue Volkswagen Polo after the boy was hit at St Albans Road on Thursday (March 3) at around 5.10pm.
After officers attended the scene, the driver was not there and an appeal was sent out on Saturday to identify the driver.
Now Hertfordshire Constabulary says the driver has been found but it is unclear whether he has been arrested.
PC Ian Key, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Thankfully the child was not seriously injured, sustaining only bruising and minor cuts. Nevertheless, it would have been a frightening experience for all involved.”
