The director of a real estate developer says its purchase of an office building has "paid off very well" after it was left with just one space to fill.
Online jeweller Lily & Roo became the 11th tenants at the GNR8 property in Clarendon Road in Watford after signing a five-year lease.
David Kershaw, who is group real estate director at the RO Group, said: "This is a significant win for Watford and for the group. Lily & Roo’s work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and The Telegraph, with their pieces gaining recognition for their classic, yet contemporary aesthetic.
"The brand is carried by Wolf & Badger, the luxury independent brand retailer, and we are extremely proud to now house this remarkable jeweller in GNR8."
Mr Kershaw previously said that activity in the business district in Clarendon Road is "stronger than ever before" despite the pandemic.
Speaking after Lily & Roo means there is just a sole office suite left to fill inside the GNR8 building, Mr Kershaw said: "Our strategy in Watford has paid off very well. The town’s strengths were apparent to us and led to the purchase of 49 Clarendon Road in 2017.
"We knew that with the right level of investment, the group could generate more value from the office building. Following a comprehensive refurbishment, and a rebrand, GNR8 has attracted fantastic tenants which enhance the Watford business community."
