A council has launched a raft of consultations after concerns were raised about "parking problems" in a number of areas.

Three Rivers District Council says it is investigating issues in Abbots Langley, Leavesden, South Oxhey, Rickmansworth, Moor Park, and Bedmond.

The concerns raised include vehicles blocking pavements and the view of drivers being hampered by the way vehicles are being parked.

Officers are now seeking views over a proposed scheme which is designed to improve parking for residents.

The areas include the Lemonfield Drive area of Leavesden, Hazelbury Avenue in Abbots Langley, Oxhey Drive and Gosforth Lane in South Oxhey, High Street in Bedmond, and Astons Road and Main Avenue in Moor Park.

The council has provided maps for each scheme on its website but solutions include introducing double and single yellow lines, restricting parking near pavements, and installing new parking bays.

Elsewhere in Three Rivers, the council is seeking views on introducing parking restrictions in Sandy Lodge Way in Northwood after receiving a petition from residents.

The consultation findings could lead to minimal safety restrictions put in or a full permit zone.

Officers are also consulting with residents in the Harefield Road area of Rickmansworth to find out whether there is support for new parking restrictions, such as new yellow lines, parking permits, or changes to current restrictions.

People are being invited to make comments on all of the schemes mentioned by March 30.

After the consultation period, a council committee will decide whether to progress any schemes. The council says changes to parking will be delivered where there is "support" for it.
