Watford secondary schools have impressed Ofsted with all scooping 'good' or 'outstanding' ratings in their latest inspections.

Reports have been published in recent months for three schools within five miles of the town – and all were showered with praise.

The school was found to be ‘outstanding’ after a visit on October 13 and the report published on December 2 last year.

Inspectors described it as a “remarkably friendly and welcoming school” with pupils praised for having “exemplary manners”.

It was said students produced “high-quality work” and teachers were recognised for pushing students to be the best they can be.

Radlett Lodge Schools

Inspected on January 24, the Radlett school had its report published on March 10.

The residential school, run by the National Autistic Society and welcomes students aged four to 19, was found to be ‘good’.

Staff were “ambitious” for the children and had “excellent knowledge” of their individual communication needs.

Croxley Danes School

On January 25 and 26, the school received its first inspection since opening in 2017 – with the report published on March 11.

It states Croxley Danes is “warm and welcoming” and pupils are “proud” to be part of the its journey since opening.

Inspectors added: “The work has paid off as Croxley Danes’ pupils access a good-quality education and school experience.”
