The full list of candidates standing for election at Three Rivers District Council next month have been revealed.

A third of the council's seats will be contested on May 5.

One seat is up for election in each of the district's 13 wards, except in Gade Valley where two seats are up for grabs.

This is because Independent councillor Alex Michaels resigned from the council in March.

The Liberal Democrats currently run the council with a majority of six over the Conservatives, Labour, and Independent parties.

Among those up for re-election is the council leader Sarah Nelmes in the ward of Penn & Mill End.

The Lib Dems, Tories, Labour, and the Green party are standing candidates in every ward.

There is a sole candidate from the UK VOICE safer and stronger UK party in Carpenders Park.

Parish council elections are also being held in Three Rivers - details of candidates can be found on the council website along with other details about the election.
