Two gyms are offering free trials or guest passes in a bid to collect over 1,000 Easter eggs to bring a smile to children in hospital
The Anytime Fitness clubs in Croxley Park and Bushey are hosting an Easter egg drive to aid children in Watford General Hospital.
Between April 4 and April 13, members and potential members are being asked to donate their eggs in return of a free trial or guest pass.
This is not the first time the clubs have run such a campaign. Back in 2019 the Croxley Park club managed to pass on 800 donated treats to Watford General.
Now with two clubs taking part in the campaign, Anytime Fitness hopes to hand out 1,000 eggs to patients on April 13.
Ben Pulsford, club manager of the Croxley Park branch, said: “This event worked really well a few years ago, and now we’re allowed to get out and about again, we have a chance to repeat our previous success.
“We’ve had a lot of positive feedback already from our members, and businesses such as Morrisons, who have already shown their community support with some eggs to kickstart our collection.
“As a 24-hour gym, we will also be happy to see some new faces in the club using their free guest passes, burning calories and hopefully earning their own eggs this Easter.”
