A busy road in North Watford has been closed due to roadworks.
Cones and barriers have gone up in St Albans Road between Leavesden Road and Lowestoft Road.
According to photos shared by local councillor Dawn Allen-Williamson on Monday (April 12) , the road has only been closed on one side - in the direction of Garston.
Affinity Water is responsible for the closure and says it is due to new connection works taking place in the area.
Hertfordshire County Council has granted Affinity Water a permit to keep the road closed until Friday (April 15).
A spokesperson for Affinity Water says the work is running to schedule.
Diversion signs are in place and it looks like drivers are diverting up Leavesden Road and down Lowestoft Road, which is causing delays in the area.
The photos from Cllr Allen-Williamson show there is full access for drivers coming down St Albans Road from the direction of North Watford and Garston towards Watford town centre.
