Petrol stations across Watford have been struck with shortages since eco-activists targeted a Hertfordshire oil depot.
Signs were in place during the evening on Monday (April 11) stating that fuel is “temporarily unavailable” with many filling stations closed following disruptions by Just Stop Oil protesters.
Climate activists locked themselves to a large structure and to a fuel tanker at Buncefield Oil Depot in Hemel Hempstead on April 1.
Then more than 30 members camped outside the depot again on April 3, with 27 arrested.
As a result, forecourts appear to be affected by the actions of the protesters.
The Shell station at Watford Road, by Hunton Bridge, alerted motorists that fuel was unavailable at the time.

However the Shell in Watford Road, Croxley Green, appeared to be functioning as normal.
At the Tesco Extra station in Lower High Street, had cones in place to prevent anyone from entering.

By the Dome Roundabout, the Sainsbury’s was entirely closed off, whereas the Asda and Shell had just some pumps still active.

Howard Cox, founder of FairFuelUK, said a third of its supporters who responded to a survey last weekend said they have encountered a “problem” finding fuel.

In a statement, Just Stop Oil said: “The Government can end the queues and closures at petrol station forecourts immediately, ahead of the Easter holidays, by committing to halt all new oil licences and consents.
“Ministers have a choice: they can arrest and imprison Just Stop Oil supporters or agree to no new oil and gas.
“While Just Stop Oil supporters have their liberty the disruption will continue. Now is the moment to come and meet with the coalition.”
On Monday, Downing Street condemned the “guerrilla tactics” used to target oil supplies.

Speaking on a visit to Watford on Tuesday, Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey said: "Unlawful protests are wrong period. I think that police were right to get tough on these protesters and to use the laws that they have to stop protests.
"I'm glad that police took the action they did."
He added that if activists want to argue about different approaches, it should be said in the House of Commons.
