A man was jailed after taking revenge and sharing private sexual videos of her online.

Ali Ucar, 27, was offended when he asked a woman from Hertsmere out for a date and she stood him down.

The man of Eastfield Road in Enfield acquire the sexual footage of the woman and her previous partner after her phone was stolen.

The victim discovered that Ucar was sharing the video with live audiences on social media after her friends made her aware.

He was arrested on September 9, 2020, and later discharged with disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress.

On April 8, he was jailed for eight months after pleading guilty at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on March 2.

Detective Constable Jay Jeffrey said: “I would like to commend the victim for her bravery throughout this investigation.

“She showed great courage in standing up in court and reading her own victim impact statement so that the Judge could hear the devastating impact Ucar’s actions had on her. She described the ordeal as ‘painful and humiliating’.”

DC Jeffrey added that she did the “right thing” in reporting the action and that no victim should ever feel embarrassed or ashamed about reporting such incidents to police.
