A woman was punched in the head after a fight broke out within a group.

Police were called to Whippendell Road in Watford last Saturday (April 23) following reports of the brawl.

According to Hertfordshire Constabulary, a woman was injured from the attack – but she is not thought to be seriously injured.

A picture shared on social media shows a shirtless man detained by officers at the scene, but it is understood he was found to be not the suspect and he was let go.

Enquiries are continuing as police hope to still trace the suspect.
